2013 Jal Bhagirathi Foundation (JBF) mobilized communities for the construction of a Sand dam in Balotra Block of Barmer district in western Rajasthan. During a meeting with the villagers, JBF came to know that schools in the area did not even have basic facilities to support quality education of children and the same was conveyed to Khetri Trust. The schools were then invited by Khetri Trust to submit an application for grant.
