The Khetri
Trust was set up by its founder, Raja Bahadur Sardar Singh to promote education
and advance the study of science, literature and the arts in India. The mandate
of Khetri Trust covers direct scholarships to deserving students as also the
establishment of educational institutions, including schools, libraries, academies, and research centres.
Khetri
Trust views education as the foundation of a democratic and vibrant society. It
considers the education of all members of a society, rich and poor, as
essential to their ability to participate in and contribute to nation building.
Khetri
Trust is in the process of elaborating strategy to reflect its view of
education in its policies, programmes and partnerships. In pursuing its
objectives the Trust seeks to engage with other organisations to become a
valued partner in the quest to achieve an enlightened, democratic and just society.
Khetri
Trust currently pursues a two-pronged approach: to provide financial support to
organizations aiming to improve the access, availability and quality of
education for disadvantaged and vulnerable children and youth and to directly
grant scholarships to deserving students.Â
